High Spirits Chocolate Chippers



  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Frangelico liquor
  • 1/4 cup Tia Maria
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 cups pastry flour
  • 1 1/2 pounds chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces chopped pecans
  • 4 ounces chopped walnuts


  1. Cream together both sugars, butter, baking soda, liqueurs and salt until light and creamy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, and blend well.
  3. Add pastry flour, chocolate chips and nuts; mix until well blended.
  4. Drop by tablespoonsful onto greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F until light golden brown.

Makes 4 dozen.
