Lemon Firecrackers




  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add lemon juice, lemon peel and egg; beat well.
  4. Sift together flour, cayenne powder, salt and baking soda.
  5. Beat dry ingredients into the butter mixture.
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 8 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned.
