Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies

Pumpkin spice morsels turn this recipe into a sweet fall delight. This recipe can be used for cut-out cookies also.

Pumpkin spice Sugar Cookies recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (9 ounce) package Nestlé® Toll House® Pumpkin Spice Morsels

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and egg and mix until combined.
  5. Beat in flour mixture gradually.
  6. Stir in morsels.
  7. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet by rounded tablespoon. Gently press tops.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are barely golden.
  9. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

If using cookie cutters, add an additional 1/2 cup flour to the recipe. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes; longer is preferred. On a clean surface, use a rolling pin to roll dough to 1/3 inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Bake as directed.
