Self-Frosting Anise Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon aniseed
  • 3 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, measure and sift again with baking powder.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed for 30 minutes.
  3. Add flour mixture and beat for 3 minutes.
  4. Add aniseed.
  5. Drop by teaspoons onto greased and floured cookie sheets.
  6. Dry overnight.
  7. Bake at 325 degrees F for 12 minutes.
