Kool-Aid Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 package dry unsweetened Kool-Aid (flavor/color desired)
- 1/2 package dry unsweetened Kool-Aid (contrasting flavor/color)
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat well.
- Sift all dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk to the creamed mixture. This foundation can
make 3 or more different cookies. After dough is mixed, divide in half. Roll out on wax paper, sprinkle with Kool-Aid (one color on half, and the other color on the other half). Put half the dough on top of the other half.
- Roll up in a roll and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or freeze and slice when needed.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
