Elephant Ears
Ingredients
- 1 envelope yeast
- 1/3 cup warm water
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups flour
- Granulated
sugar
- Colored sugar
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand.
- Mix butter and flour. Add yeast. Blend well; put in refrigerator to cool.
- Sprinkle
sugar on wax paper. Take small amount of dough and pat with fingers, then pat in
sugar to coat both sides; pat thin. Place on cookie sheet. Colored sugar may be
sprinkled on to add some color. These burn easily, so watch carefully during baking.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 7 to 10 minutes.
