Sitting on a Ritz


  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup (1/2) stick butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup diced dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 box Ritz crackers


  1. Cook milk, dates and pecans over low heat until thick, stirring often. Put small amount on center of cracker and place on cookie sheet.
  2. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 300 degrees F; cool.
  3. Cream together cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar.
  4. Using a frosting bag or cookie press, frost around edge of cooled cracker. (Freezes well.)
