Cowboy Country Smoked Pork Ribs

Ingredients

Ribs

  • 6 pounds pork ribs
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Liquid Smoke

Marinade

  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup minced onions
  • 2/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Ribs: Combine all ingredients except ribs. Sprinkle mixture over ribs.
  2. Marinade: Combine all ingredients and spoon over ribs.
  3. Let marinate in refrigerator overnight.
  4. Place ribs in smoker or on grill over low heat for 4 to 6 hours.
