Trail Drivers Goulash



  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 2 soup cans water
  • 2 cans red beans, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) package spaghetti, cooked
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 2 cups grated cheese


  1. Brown ground beef lightly in oil; add onion and celery and cook until onion is yellow and celery is soft.
  2. Add tomato soup; rinse cans and add water.
  3. Add beans, spaghetti and seasonings; put into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F until hot and bubbly.
  5. Grated cheese may be put on top last 15 minutes of baking.

Yield: 12 servings
