Slow Cooker Recipes
Steak in Beer
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients
- 2 pounds round steak
- 1/2 clove garlic
- All-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 onion
- 1 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup beer or 2 cups beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in 1 cup water
Instructions
- Rub steak with garlic on both sides.
- Cut into serving size pieces.
- Dredge with flour.
- Heat oil in skillet and brown steak on both sides.
- Season and place into slow cooker.
- Sauté onions in skillet and pour over meat.
- Add sauce and beer (or bouillon).
- Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
