Steak with Mushroom Gravy

Yield: 2 to 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless sirloin steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips
  • 8 ounces fresh button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 1 can French's beef broth with onions
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Layer steak strips, mushrooms and onion rings in slow cooker.
  2. Add broth and seasonings to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on LOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
  4. About 1 1/2 hours before serving, stir together the water and cornstarch until well blended.
  5. Add to the slow cooker, stirring well.
  6. Replace cover and continue cooking for allotted time.
  7. Serve over rice or egg noodles with a salad for a complete meal.
