Slow Cooker Recipes
Steak with Mushroom Gravy
Yield: 2 to 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless sirloin steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips
- 8 ounces fresh button mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 1 can French's beef broth with onions
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Layer steak strips, mushrooms and onion rings in slow cooker.
- Add broth and seasonings to the slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for 8 hours or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
- About 1 1/2 hours before serving, stir together the water and cornstarch until well blended.
- Add to the slow cooker, stirring well.
- Replace cover and continue cooking for allotted time.
- Serve over rice or egg noodles with a salad for a complete meal.
