Texas Hash



  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 2 green bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans tomatoes
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt


  1. Brown ground beef in skillet, stir until crumbly; drain.
  2. Place in slow cooker.
  3. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, adding water if necessary.

Yield: 8 servings
