Pinto Beans and Ham Hocks



  • 2 cups dry pinto beans
  • 2 or 3 smoked ham hocks
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Water


  1. Place beans and ham hocks in slow cooker with bay leaf.
  2. Cover with water.
  3. Cook on HIGH for 6 to 8 hours. Do not season as the ham hocks give the dish its flavor.
  4. Serve with cornbread.
