Chicken with Stuffing

Chicken with Stuffing recipe

Cook: 7 hours | Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices sharp Cheddar or Swiss cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chicken broth (regular or no-sodium)
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 (6 ounce) box stuffing mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 tablespooons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then place in a 6 quart slow cooker.
  2. If using, place a slice of Cheddar or Swiss cheese on each chicken breast.
  3. Pour broth over the chicken.
  4. In a large bowl, add the soup, stuffing and water. Mix well until everything is fully incorporated.
  5. Evenly spread the stuffing mixture over the chicken.
  6. Drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 hours or on HIGH for 4 hours.
