Brunswick Stew 2



  • 1 cup tomatoes, cut up (16 ounces)
  • 1 cup tomato paste (6 ounces)
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, chopped
  • 1 package frozen succotash or frozen okra
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 dash ground cloves
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broth


  1. In slow cooker, stir together undrained tomatoes and tomato paste.
  2. Add chicken, frozen succotash or sliced okra, onion, bay leaf, salt, rosemary, pepper and cloves.
  3. Stir in chicken broth.
  4. Cover; cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
  5. Before serving, remove bay leaf and stir well.

Yield: 6 servings
