Oyster Stew



  • 1 1/2 quarts milk
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pint or more oysters, with liquid


  1. Put all ingredients except oysters in a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 1/2 hours.
  3. Stir well. Add oysters and cook on LOW for 1 to 3 hours.
  4. Serve hot.
