Angel Food Rocky Road




  1. Melt chocolate chips and sugar together over hot water.
  2. Beat egg yolks and gradually add chip mixture.
  3. Cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into chocolate mixture.
  5. Beat whipping cream until stiff, then fold into mixture.
  6. Line a buttered 12 x 8-inch pan with bite-size pieces of angel food cake.
  7. Cover cake with a layer of sauce.
  8. Repeat the process ending with sauce on top.
  9. Sprinkle with nuts.
  10. Chill overnight.
