Chocolate Cherry Bonanza




  1. Combine crumbs and melted butter. Reserve 2 tablespoons of mixture; press remainder to bottom of 7 x 11-inch baking dish.
  2. Cream soft butter and confectioners' sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Spoon into crumb-lined pan, spreading evenly.
  5. Measure cream, cocoa and sugar into bowl, whip until stiff.
  6. Fold in banana, cherries and nuts.
  7. Pile atop mixture in pan.
  8. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over.
  9. Refrigerate for 24 hours or freeze.
  10. Cut into squares at serving time.
