Cottage Cheese Fritters


  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Beat egg; add cottage cheese and mix thoroughly.
  2. Stir in milk and sifted dry ingredients.
  3. Drop by teaspoonsful into deep fat in skillet at 375 degrees F.
  4. Fry until brown on both sides, 4 to 5 minutes.
  5. Drain on absorbent paper.

Makes 10 fritters.
