Cream Puff Bars
Ingredients
Pastry
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
Filling
- 3 1/2 cups milk
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 (3.9 ounce) boxes instant vanilla pudding
- Cool Whip
- Chocolate syrup (for topping)
Instructions
Pastry
- Boil water with butter; add flour; remove from stove. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Add eggs, 1 at a time.
- Spread on baking sheet.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool.
Filling
- Combine ingredients and, using electric mixer, beat on high for 1 minute, then on low for 4 minutes.
- Spread on cooled crust.
- Cover with Cool Whip.
- Drizzle syrup on top.
