Southern Biscuit Pudding

Ingredients

  • 6 cold biscuits
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cast iron pan.
  2. Soak crumbled biscuits in hot water for a few minutes.
  3. Add sugar, butter, nutmeg, raisins, beaten eggs, and milk, mixing after each addition.
  4. Pour into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until browned.
