Buster Bar Dessert



  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
  • 25 Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pint caramel sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups Spanish peanuts or dry roasted peanuts, crushed slightly


  1. Fudge Sauce: Mix the 1/3 cup butter, evaporated milk, chocolate chips and confectioners' sugar in a saucepan. Boil for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Add vanilla extract; let cool.
  2. Soften ice cream. Crush Oreo cookies and mix with the 1/2 cup melted butter. Layer in a 9 x 13-inch pan as follows:
  3. First layer: crushed Oreos
  4. Second layer: softened vanilla ice cream
  5. Third layer: Spanish or dry roasted peanuts
  6. Fourth layer: cooled Fudge Sauce
  7. Fifth layer: Caramel sauce
  8. Store in freezer until ready to serve.
