Candied Lemon Slices
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large lemons, cut into 1/8-inch thick slices
- In a heavy saucepan, combine the sugar with 1 cup water. Bring to a boil to dissolve
- Add the lemon slices. Cover and cook over medium heat for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let the lemon slices cool in the syrup.
