Chocolate Dipped Fruit




  1. Place chocolate chips and shortening in a small, microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave at HIGH for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or just until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
  3. Allow to cool slightly.
  4. Dip fruit or fruit slices about two-thirds of the way into chocolate mixture. Shake gently to remove excess chocolate.
  5. Place on wax paper-covered tray.
  6. Refrigerate, uncovered, until chocolate is firm, about 30 minutes.
