3 1/2 cups sliced canned pineapple
1/3 cup light corn syrup
2 cups granulated sugar
Drain and reserve juice from pineapple.
Add sugar and corn syrup to juice. Stir and bring these ingredients to a boil in a large, heavy pan.
Add the fruit, but do not crowd it. Simmer until the fruit is transparent.
Lift pineapple from syrup.
Drain it on racks until thoroughly dry.
Place between sheets of wax paper and store tightly covered.
