Honey-Poppy Seed Filling

- 1 cup ground poppy seeds
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- Bring poppy seeds and milk to a slow boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir
constantly until thick.
- Add sugar and honey and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add allspice last.
Makes enough for 3 dozen kolaches.
