Prune Filling

  • 1 pound prunes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon


  1. Cover prunes with water. Cook until soft and most of water is absorbed.
  2. Cool, pit (if they have pits), mash or grind. Can also use food processor or blender.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.
  4. Cool before using.
