Caramel Dumpling Pudding


  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk


  1. Boil brown sugar, water and butter for about 3 to 4 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, butter and milk. Drop dough by tablespoons into the hot syrup. Cook uncovered for a few minutes, then cover and finish cooking over low heat as they burn easily.
  3. Serve warm with cream.
