Cinnamon Pudding

Yield: about 18 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups cold water
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 scant cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Mix brown sugar, cold water and 3 tablespoons butter together and bring to a boil. This is the syrup mixture.
  3. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and cinnamon together. Add 3 tablespoons butter and milk.
  4. Pour this dough mixture into a 13 x 9 inch pan and put syrup on top. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes.
