Bay Leaf Sauce

Use as a sauce for bread pudding, pie or cake.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients and cook slowly for 15 minutes.
  2. Strain.

Makes 1 1/2 cups.
