Brandied Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen, sliced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons brandy or cognac

Instructions

  1. In saucepan blend strawberries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and clear.
  2. Cool slightly; stir in brandy.
  3. Chill before serving.

Makes about 2 1/2 cups.
