Burnt Honey Sauce
Yield: 6 to 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup clear honey
Instructions
- In a heavy-base saucepan, dissolve sugar in 4 tablespoons water. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes or until it becomes a deep brown caramel.
- Off the heat stir in another 4 tablespoons of water, taking care as the mixture will splatter. Cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until the temperature reaches 240 degrees F.
- Stir in the honey and remove from the heat.
- Let cool.
