Chocolate Rum Sauce

Yield: 12 servings, 2 tablespoons per serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons light stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup white or dark rum or fruit-flavored liqueur

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and margarine; cook over medium heat until sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in cocoa, corn syrup and rum or liqueur. Continue heating and stirring until combined.
