- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups whipping cream
- Place sour cream in a bowl. Thin sour cream with a little whipping cream, then
add remaining whipping cream.
- Pour mixture into a clean glass jar, cover loosely,
and let thicken at room temperature. This takes about 4 to 12 hours, depending upon
warmth of room.
- Cover thickened mixture tightly and refrigerate. Chill completely.
Lime Creme Fraîche: Add 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated lime peel and 1 tablespoon
fresh lime juice to each 1 cup of Creme Fraîche.
