Fruit Purees
Blackberry Puree
- 1 pint blackberries
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Raspberry Puree
- 1 1/2 pints raspberries
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
Strawberry Puree
- 1 pint strawberries
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Instructions
Blackberry Puree
- Wash blackberries and drain well in a colander. Pick off stems.
- Puree in a food processor or blender with the sugar until the mixture is as smooth as possible.
- Strain, discarding solids.
- Pour into a plastic squirt bottle and chill.
Raspberry Puree
- Puree raspberries and sugar in a food processor or blender until completely smooth.
- Strain, discarding solids.
- Pour into a plastic squirt bottle and chill.
Strawberry Puree
- Wash strawberries, then core out stems to ensure that the woody core is removed. Use a paring knife and cut a cone out of the top of the berry.
- Puree strawberries and sugar in a food processor until completely smooth.
- Strain, discarding solids.
- Pour into a plastic squirt bottle and chill.
