Golden Marshmallow Sauce
Yield: enough for 4 sundaes
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add the boiling water to the sugar in a heavy saucepan and cook until a little less than very soft ball stage is reached (220 degrees F).
- Pour in the marshmallows and beat with a hand held mixer, over low heat, until smooth.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
