Hard Sauce

Serve cold with steamed puddings or on apple pie.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract, cognac or rum

Instructions

  1. Cream butter until soft.
  2. Add confectioners' sugar a little at a time, then add vanilla extract, cognac or rum, stirring until smooth.
