Pear Sauce
Serve over berries, gingerbread or spice cake.
Yield: 2 2/3 cups
Ingredients
- 2 medium pears, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Combine first 3 ingredients in blender container; process until smooth.
- Combine pear mixture, sugar, cornstarch and water in a medium size saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat, and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat; cool.
