Double Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Equal Spoonful*
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons stick butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, Equal, semi sweet chocolate chips, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  2. Beat butter, applesauce, eggs and vanilla extract until blended.
  3. Stir in combined flour mixture until blended.
  4. Spread batter in sprayed 8 inch square baking pan.
  5. Bake in preheated 350 degrees F oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until top springs back when gently touched.
  6. Cool completely on wire rack.

Notes

* May substitute 24 packets Equal sweetener
