Marzipan Eggs
Yield: 2 pounds
Ingredients
- 1 pound blanched almonds, finely ground
- 1 pound confectioners' sugar
- 1 to 2 teaspoons orange extract
- Food coloring
Instructions
- Combine ground almonds, confectioners' sugar and orange extract in a saucepan. Cook until mixture leaves side of pan.
- Remove from hot pan; cool slightly.
- Roll mixture into small egg shapes.
- Paint with food coloring.
- Place on wax paper to dry for 2 hours.
