Lazy Beef Casserole


This makes delicious gravy!


  • 3 pounds lean stew meat
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 3/4 cup sherry, red wine or water


  1. Mix mushroom soup, dry onion soup mix and wine thoroughly in mixing bowl. Add stew meat.
  2. Pour into a buttered 2 1/2-quart casserole.
  3. Cover, and bake at 325 degrees F for 3 hours. Do not use any other seasonings.
  4. Serve with rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.

Yield: 4-6 servings
