L.A. Cornbread


This sweet, cake-like corn bread is served at family restaurants in Los Angeles.


  • 1 (18.5 ounce) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 (15 ounce) package corn bread mix


  1. Mix cake and corn bread batters separately according to package directions.
  2. Blend together and turn into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 minutes, or until corn bread springs back when lightly touched.
