Stewed Prunes
Ingredients
- 2 cups prunes
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 cups cold water (enough to cover prunes in the pot)
- 1 or 2 tablespoons granulated sugar if needed (to taste)
Instructions
- In a 2 quart saucepan, combine prunes, lemon juice and cinnamon.
- Cover with enough cold water and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for about 40 minutes. Add more water, if needed, and sugar to taste.
