Ghorabie (Short Cakes - Syrian)


Feast of St. Barbara, December 4



  1. Combine butter, flour, and sugar, working all together until the mixture can be made into small cakes.
  2. Press a blanched almond into the center of each.
  3. Bake in a slow oven (250 degrees F) until cakes are baked but not browned.

Yield: 2 dozen or more cakes, according to size
