Clams Italiano


  • 2 dozen littleneck clams
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup bottled marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions


  1. Scrub clams well under cold running water. Place in microwave-safe dish with wine.
  2. Microwave on HIGH for 3 to 5 minutes until shells open.
  3. Discard any unopened clams.
  4. Meanwhile, combine marinara, parsley and scallions. Spoon over clams.
  5. Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH for 2 minutes.

Yield: 2 servings
