Salmon Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 1 can salmon, de-boned
  • 1 (8-count) can biscuits
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Sauté onions in butter.
  2. Blend in flour.
  3. Add milk slowly and cook until sauce is thick gravy.
  4. Add cheese; let melt.
  5. Add drained and de-boned salmon.
  6. Pour into greased casserole.
  7. Top with biscuits.
  8. Bake at 425 degrees F for 7 minutes, then turn biscuits over.
  9. Bake for another 7 to 10 minutes.
