Soy-Orange Marinated Salmon

Soy-Orange Marinated Salmon recipe

Yield: 4 servings, one fillet each

Ingredients

Marinade

  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets

Instructions

Marinade

  1. In a nonreactive mixing bowl (plastic or glass), mix together all ingredients.

Salmon

  1. In heavy resealable plastic bag, place marinade and salmon, turning bag over a few times and refrigerate for about 1 to 2 hours.
  2. Remove salmon from marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Place salmon fillets on hot, lightly oiled grill and cook for 5 to 8 minutes, depending on desired oneness.

Notes

Beef or chicken can be substituted for the salmon.
