Dulce de Leche Fondue

Enjoy this delightful slow-cooked fondue made with sweetened condensed milk – perfect to serve with any dessert.

Yield: 8 servings (3 tablespoons fondue and 6 dippers each)

Ingredients

  • 1 (13.4 ounce) can dulce de leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk)
  • 1 tablespoon rum* or milk
  • Dippers (pound cake cubes, strawberries, pineapple chunks, apple slices, marshmallows)

Instructions

  1. In a 1 quart slow cooker, cover and cook dulce de leche for 30 minutes; stir. Cook about 30 minutes longer or until thoroughly heated.
  2. Stir in rum until smooth. (Stir in additional rum or milk for a thinner fondue.) Unplug slow cooker before serving.
  3. Serve with dippers.
