Peppermint Fondue

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups light cream (Half-and-Half)
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 6 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • Peppermint extract, to taste
  • 1 or 2 drops red food coloring

Instructions

  1. Put cream and sugar into a saucepan and heat gently until almost boiling.
  2. Blend flour smoothly with 1 tablespoon water, add to cream and continue to heat, stirring all the time until thickened.
  3. Add extract, to taste, and food coloring, then pour into a fondue pot and serve hot with miniature chocolate cakes.
