Apple Cider Mulling Spice Sachets

Make multiple batches of these individual spice sachets for apple cider. Be sure to add the mulling directions to the gift tag.


  • 1 stick McCormick® Cinnamon Sticks , broken in half
  • 2 McCormick® Cloves, Whole
  • 2 McCormick® Allspice, Whole
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

  1. Place spices in center of a piece of cheesecloth. Tie tightly with long piece of string.
  2. Place spice sachet in small saucepan. Add apple cider. Simmer over medium heat 10 to 15 minutes or until fragrant. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Discard spice sachet.
  4. Serve warm.

Party-Size Mulling Spice Sachet: Increase cinnamon sticks to 4, whole cloves to 2 teaspoons, whole allspice to 1 teaspoon and vanilla to 2 teaspoons. Use to mull 2 quarts (8 cups) apple cider.
